(3) 26th November 2014; Finding information on the type of shots used in a documentary trailer

On Wednesday lesson, I was trying to find out the different shots that we can use in our trailer for our documentary. It was quite hard at first as the school doesn't allow you to visit certain sites, however, I found a tad of information which was very useful. 

Using the right shots in our trailer will be useful as it will captivate the audience (if used properly). Each trailer for different genre's use different shots to demonstrate different things to the audience  and those different scenes have an effect on the audience. 

My partner and I realised that we have to make sure that we have to make our trailer very realistic so the shots we use have to be right for this certain genre which is, reality/documentaries.

(2) 19th November 2014 Running Script & Story Board ReDraft

On Wednesday, James and I had to re-draft our storyboard and running script so that it became more clear to us about what we were going to say, what we are going to shoot, etc. 

As it is a trailer/opening sequence we both have to make sure that we shoot entertaining yet serious scenes in our trailer as people use trailers as an outcome to whether they are going to watch a show/movie, so the scenes have to be great.

As this is a re-draft of both the storyboard & running script, there are still changes that will need to be placed in both. 

The story board is a lot more informative and so, we know what we will be basing each scene on and where we will be shooting them. 

As this is a trailer, having a script wouldn't be necessary as this isn't going to be that scripted however, both James and I, narrowed down each scene so that we both know what we will be doing.

Hello,

My name is Lawrence Gordon and this is my blog on my MEDIA project. Throughtout the next few months I will be telling you my journey on how my group and I get on with our project and all the little steps I take to get to the finishing line. 

Firstly, I will be showing you my basic, un-finished running script and story board. 

This picture shows you the beginning of my groups project and what we are planning to do. 

Even though there isn't a lot of detail on each pieces of paper, they both give us a rough idea on how we would like our project to be like. 

Once the beginning of the storyboards and running script are complete, we are able to progress onto the future construction of our project.
